ELIGIBLE WORK
The exhibition is open to artists in all media from Franklin, Gulf Counties, Wakulla, Bay and Leon Counties. Each artist may enter NO MORE than two recent pieces for consideration.
CASH PRIZES
First Place $150, Second Place $100, Third Place $50.
FORMAT
Work may be submitted in pdf format or JPG of less than 5 MBs (one picture per email) via email to artshow@sgpoa.com or on CD via mail at St. George Plantation, 1712 Magnolia, St. George Island, FL 32328
ENTRY RULES
Entry fee is $20 and is non-refundable. Make checks payable to St. George Plantation Owners Association, Inc. All works entered must be original creations by the artist and must be show ready for presentation. Two-dimensional pieces must be wired for hanging. Maximum size accepted for two-dimensional work is 72” by 72”. Three-dimensional works must not exceed 8’ in height, cover more than six square feet of floor area, or weigh more than 150 lbs.
Work can be offered or sale during the show. The artist gallery can also be indicated. The Plantation reserves the right to provide the media with reproductions of the exhibited artwork from this exhibition. Exhibited work will be insured by the St. George Plantation Owners Association during the show, if not insured by the artist.
JURYING PROCESS
Accepted artists will be notified via email.
JURORS
Jeana Brunson is the Director of the Museum of Florida History, where she oversees the development of exhibitions, historical collections, and educational programs. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from the University of South Alabama, certificate in art education from the University of Texas, Master of Arts in museum studies from Texas Tech University, and Doctor of Philosophy in textiles and consumer sciences from Florida State University.
Sarah Stage is an Arts Administrator with the Division of Cultural Affairs, where she manages general program support grants that provide funding to dance companies, theatres, museums, galleries and other nonprofits. Originally from Iowa, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Art in painting/drawing from the Kansas City Art Institute, and a Master of Fine Art in painting and Museum Studies Certificate from Florida State University.
