Panhandle Players

The Panhandle Players have been bringing community theatre to Franklin County since 1987. It all began with the first production of "An Evening of Comedy" in 1987 at the old Carrabelle High School gymnasium. The Players continued performing there with productions like "Arsenic and Old Lace," "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty- the Musical," "All Because of Agatha," and Neil Simon's "Plaza Suite." After performing "Pump Boys and Dinettes" in 1994 the Players went on hiatius until 2001 when they decided to re-organize and had the opportunity to perform on a real stage at the newly restored Dixie Theatre. They started off their revitalization with the comedy "The Curious Savage" and have presented two to three productions each year si nce then. Now entering into their 17th season, The Panhandle Players continue to bring community theatre to both residents and visitors alike, always looking for and encouraging new talent whether it be on stage, behind the scenes or getting the word out! Now, on with the show!
