John Gorrie Museum State Park
Contains a replica of the ice machine created and patented in 1851 by Dr. John Gorrie in an attempt to cool his yellow fever patients. His invention later because the basis for the ice industry and air conditioning. Exhibits also document the history of Apalachicola.
